Hello guys ... !!! As way of introduction. We are Maggie,Fichela and Niko and we are from PeiCai Secondary Schoo Class 2E...We are going to tell you about what people think about the low birth in Singapore...
we have interviewed 10 people - 5 Married and 5 Singles..
They gave us a lots of reasons that made us knowing more about it ...
You can find it more here... ! just look forwardss ... :D

Background Information
Here are some reasons why Singapore has Low Birth Rate :
1. High cost of living in Singapore and thus high costs in bringing up children-both of the husband and wife have to work to support the family.
2.Lifestyle preference-being educated, they are economically independent. The number of singels between 35 to 44 who prefer to stay unmarried has increased.
3.Preferance for small family-due to the high standards of hygience and good medical care, every child has a better chance of growing and reaching maturity, thus parents prefer to keep their families small.
4.With education , more woman aspire for a career outside the home and delay having children.
5."A lot of family planning decision is being made based on the economy, like whether a person can keep their job, maintain their job. Their salary over the couple of years would be a main determinant,"

As can be seen from these two articles, some reasons were shown such as rising infertility rate, liberal view towards marriage commitment, child-bearing, pragmatic government etc

    Analysis
Out of the 6 people I interviewed, 5 were married, and only 1 were single.
The one that is single, is engaged, and getting married soon.
She did not want to have children as she thinks that she is still young, and hence, she do no want to
Give birth, she want to enjoy her times with her husband
